This immersive painting spirals outwards from the visual center with representations of community in Almaden. It is located just off the main lobby entrance to the Almaden Community Center and Library in San Jose, California. Included in the design, are people, animals, native plants, and references to different aspects of the areas history and current population. I spent 14 days on site, half of the time on a scaffolding that allowed me to reach up to the top of the tower that the stairs are located in. The painting wraps around the architecture and goes all the way to the ceiling. Overall is is about 45ft wide and 35 ft high at its tallest point.
