SF Transit Center Mural

2018

This temporary mural was painted on the glass exterior of empty storefront at the new Transit Center in San Francisco, California. Arts nonprofit, Artspan, organized a beautification project in San Francisco, and I had the honor of being selected as one of the featured artist to design and paint a mural in the brand new public space until businesses move in. The painting is a total of 30ft x 7ft and depicts a dynamic urban scene highlighting the Salesforce tower, bus bridge, public transit, and upward movement . I did an illustration to scale and then translated it onto the wall in 2 days of painting, with the second day being live during the grand opening of the building. Everything was painted by hand, without pencils or guides, using commercial-grade exterior house paint and brushes. Video shot and edited by Peter Belkin.
