This mural is right in the lobby of the new Virgin Hotel in New York City, NY, which opened in early 2023. The 22ft x 7ft mural is a seek-and-find style, limited-palette, linework that depicts a whimsical and surreal look at a city street, with local landmarks, icons, references to the hotel and the history of the Virgin brand. Can you find Richard Branson, 'hanging out' in the painting? The project was managed and organized by nAscent Art NYC and I was supported by their team in the process, painting the work over the course of 5 days in late 2022 while the hotel was still being built. The mural was nominated as part of the 2023 Hospitality Design Awards for best Art & Installation Design.
